dwn bad is the indie alt-rock project of Derek Silva, blending angular guitar lines, booming drums, driving bass, and raw vocals that embrace imperfection in the age of artificial intelligence.
Originally launched in California as a personal outlet, dwn bad began with two self-released singles and no plans to perform live. After moving back home to Houston, Derek turned the project into a full band with close friends, bringing the songs to life onstage.
Since then, dwn bad has reached thousands of listeners worldwide and continues to build a community of fans drawn to its gritty sound and emotional honesty. The upcoming EP, Good Luck Have Fun, drops June 20, 2025.
